Rhapsody retreat offers a peaceful and supportive space for those wishing to find recovery – from substance abuse certainly since physical sobriety is a prerequisite for any spiritual work, but thereafter our focus rests primarily on emotional sobriety.

In essence, we follow the instructions and methodology contained within the Twelve Step Program as laid out initially by Bill Wilson in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.

We share from our own experience how we found a way out and a path to freedom through following a few simple spiritual principles – simple but not easy – such as:

  • being rigorously honest
  • accepting life on life’s terms
  • having the willingness and the courage to change
  • learning to be comfortable with uncertainty.
There are no locked gates at Rhapsody as our whole philosophy rests on your decision to let go,
to trust the process and to do whatever it takes, just for today.

A whole universe waits to be explored.

You too can discover a joyful and fulfilling way of life, one that has meaning and purpose, a new beginning, irrespective of whether you have substance addiction issues or not. This is a blueprint for life, a toolkit if you like, that is available to everyone. We can offer you these tools and teach you how to use them as we were taught.

At Rhapsody, recovery is a lived experience. Although some of us may be a little further ahead on the path, we’re all in it together.

Our emphasis is on helping you to find and develop a deeply personal spiritual relationship with a Power greater than your finite self. This requires the willingness to be open-minded and to set aside your prejudices and fixed ideas, to be brave and turn to face your fears instead of running away, and the ability to be entirely honest with yourself.
